The Bohol Trip That Almost Did Not Happen

Note: i wrote this waaayyyy back and apparently just saved it as draft. Posting it even though it seems unnecessary now.

Cheers to good times!

****************************

Because of all our drama back in 2010, our Bohol vacation was moved to February. We have waited too long for this, but the trip was definitely worth the wait!

This is by far one of the best beach trips ever and I'll tell you why.

It wasn't the business class seats, nor the amazing Garden View villa at Amorita Resort...

Here is my take in fragments...

It was holding each other's hands while the plane was taking off. Spending precious quality time in our room. Catching glimpses of G intently reading an iBook, while I was doing nothing and just enjoying the view.

Being able to conquer my fear of the water and actually learning how to swim a bit. Oh, and snorkelling! Wearing snorkelling gear at the pool (fins and all) just to have an idea on the proper way to use it. Looking weird on the infinity pool was nothing after seeing those underwater creatures. I never realized how fun it was until I actually tried it. Learning those things and more from my ever patient G just makes me smile everytime.

G agreeing to get a massage! I know he won't admit it, but I think he enjoyed it too, even for just a bit :)

And the wine! Despite the iPad being a third wheel (he he he), finishing that bottle under the tree outside beats drinking anytime in Manila. Fresh air galore!

I also won't forget that Loboc River lunch cruise It felt like Bangkok all over again, only this time, we had a savior, pale pilsen *giggles on my private joke*.

Waking up really early to see the dolphins despite the rain. Getting wet in the boat with our gadgets all wrapped in ziplocs that are more protected than us. Attempting to reach that lonely tree in Virgin Island, but the chicken in me kept us from actually reaching it. Being cold after our early morning snorkelling. Waiting nervously for G as he enjoys snorkelling in the deep part of the sea.

All these I owe Glenn... For being the itinerary master, leaving almost no work for me... For being an awesome companion, as always. For making me learn so much in one trip... For not letting go of my hand when I was freaking out in the water... For spoiling me too much...

And all I did was bring him marshmallows. :))
